From Our Branch

The mission of Kingston Legion is to serve and support veterans, which includes serving regular and reserve force military and RCMP members and their families, to promote remembrance, serve our communities and our country.

From the Royal Canadian Legion

OUR MISSION is to serve veterans, which include serving military and RCMP members and their families, to promote remembrance and to serve our communities and our country.

A veteran is any person who is serving or has honorably served in the Canadian Armed Forces, the Commonwealth, or its wartime allies, or as a Regular Member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, or as a Peace Officer in a Special Duty Area or on a Special Duty Operation, or who has served in the Merchant Navy or Ferry Command during wartime.

Our Symbols

Legion members care deeply about supporting the men and women who serve Canada and want to make a difference in the lives of Veterans and their families, contribute to our communities, and Remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our Country.

Legion symbols reflect the pride, honour, and service of our members.

  • The Poppy - Our symbol of national Remembrance and gratitude, a visual pledge to “never forget"

  • The Legion logo - Reflects Canadians’ understanding of what we do, and who we serve

  •

  • The Legion Badge - our badge is symbolic of our loyalty to our sovereign, our support to our nation in our worthy citizenship and our remembrance for our fallen comrades and fellow Canadians of like principle
